Three Held for Firing Celebratory Shots at Mohali Wedding

MOHALI, March 18 — Mohali police arrested three men for firing celebratory shots at a wedding in Sector 101, Saini Majra, on Sunday. The incident, captured on video, went viral on social media, prompting police action.

The accused, identified as Hardeep Singh, Ravpreet Singh, and Gautam Masih, were booked under Section 125 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Sections 25 and 27 of the Arms Act.

According to police, one of the men accidentally discharged the weapon a second time while placing it in his pocket. Fortunately, no one was injured.

The police said strict action would be taken against individuals misusing firearms.
