Gujarat Titans defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 38 runs. Batting first, Gujarat scored 224 runs for six wickets in 20 overs, in response, the Sunrisers team could only score 186 runs for six wickets in 20 overs. For Hyderabad, Abhishek Sharma scored 74 runs with the help of four fours and six sixes in 41 balls, but his innings also could not give victory to the team. For Gujarat, Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna took two wickets each, while Ishant Sharma and Gerald Coetze got one wicket each.
Strong Opening Stand for Hyderabad
Chasing the target, Travis Head and Abhishek gave the team a good start and both added 49 runs for the first wicket. Prasidh broke this partnership by dismissing Head who was dismissed after scoring 20 runs. After this Ishan Kishan also returned to the pavilion after scoring 13 runs. However, Abhishek and Klaasen played a good partnership and Abhishek also completed his half-century, but Ishant Sharma broke this partnership by dismissing Abhishek. After this Klaasen also returned to the pavilion after scoring 23 runs.
GT vs SRH: Hat-Trick Attempt Falls Short
Siraj then dismissed Aniket Verma after scoring three runs and sent Kamindu Mendis to the pavilion without opening the account on the next ball. However, he could not complete the hat-trick.
