X Faces Second Outage in Days

by The_unmuteenglish

New Delhi, May 24– Social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, suffered a fresh global outage today, just days after a similar disruption on May 22.

The latest incident began around 6 p.m. IST, leaving users unable to access the site, view posts, or send direct messages. According to DownDetector, more than 2,500 problem reports were logged at the height of the outage.

Preliminary reports indicate the disruption was caused by a fire at a data centre in Hillsboro, Oregon, leased by X. Emergency services responded to contain the blaze, which reportedly affected services for nearly 6,000 users worldwide.

As of now, the platform has not issued an official statement on the cause or resolution timeline.

This marks the second major service disruption for X in less than a week, raising concerns over the platform’s infrastructure reliability.
