Chandigarh, Nov 8: Former Punjab Chief Secretary Vini Mahajan has been inducted as a member of the Administrator’s Advisory Council of the Chandigarh Administration.
An official order issued by the Administration lists her among the newly appointed members of the Council, which is tasked with advising the Administrator on key policy and developmental matters concerning the Union Territory.
Mahajan, a 1987-batch IAS officer of the Punjab cadre, earlier served as Punjab’s first woman Chief Secretary and has held several significant positions in both the state and central governments.
Her inclusion brings extensive bureaucratic experience to the Council, which comprises senior officials, subject experts, and eminent citizens who guide the Administrator on governance, urban planning, and public welfare initiatives.
