Bihar Election Counting: NDA Takes Early Lead

Patna, November 14, 2025: The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) surged ahead in the initial rounds of counting for the Bihar Assembly elections on Friday, officials said.

Vote counting began under tight security across all 243 constituencies. Following Election Commission protocols, postal ballots were tallied first, and the counting of EVM votes started at 8:30 am. Overall, counting operations commenced at 8 am from 46 centres spread across 38 districts.

As off in the morning around 10 am, NDA emerged with a lead on 161 seats, while the Mahagathbandhan trailed on 78 seats. Other parties were ahead in four constituencies.
