Chandigarh, November 14: Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring on Friday said the party has humbly accepted the verdict of the people in the Tarn Taran Assembly bypoll.

Reacting to the results, Warring said the party will analyze the reasons behind the defeat and take necessary measures to strengthen itself ahead of future elections.

Acknowledging the efforts of party workers and leaders who campaigned vigorously, Warring thanked them and assured that the Congress will emerge stronger. “Winning and losing is part of the political game. We lose some and win some, and surely, we will win the bigger battle in 2027,” he said.

Warring also pointed out that the Congress faced a disadvantage against the ruling party, claiming that in bypolls over the past four years, the government machinery consistently worked in favour of the ruling party. “The same was evident in Tarn Taran,” he added.
