Ex-BJP Leader Attacked in Ludhiana

LUDHIANA, 13 October 2024: Jatinder Mittal, former district president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), was violently attacked by unidentified assailants at his factory last night.

According to reports, Mittal left the factory, one assailant swung an iron rod at him. Fortunately, the son of a friend intervened just in time, grabbing the rod and preventing serious injury to Mittal.

Earlier, it is being said that Mittal intervened in a brawl between two groups outside his factory and the attackers pushed him and began hurling stones and bricks at his facility.

Mittal had reached to senior police officials, who quickly sent officers to the scene, resulting in the detention of several personages involved in the altercation.

Following the attack, police have launched an investigation based on Mittal’s formal complaint.
