Sri Khuralgarh Sahib, Feb 5: Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann announced on Thursday that the entire Punjab Cabinet will participate in the state-level celebrations at Sri Khuralgarh Sahib on February 6 to mark the Parkash Purb of Sri Guru Ravidass Ji. The Chief Minister noted that the state government remains dedicated to building a society based on the principles of equality and justice as envisioned by the great Guru.

During his address, the Chief Minister mentioned that the life and philosophy of Sri Guru Ravidass Ji serve as a guiding light for humanity. He noted that the spiritual leader’s message of a world free from suffering and discrimination is the foundation upon which his administration is working.

“The Punjab Government is duty bound to carve out an egalitarian society as preached by Sri Guru Ravidass Maharaj ji,” Mann said.

The Chief Minister spoke about the significance of the world-class memorial at Sri Khuralgarh Sahib, which was built with an investment of ₹148 crore. He described the site as a humble tribute to the Guru’s legacy, featuring modern amenities such as the Minar-e-Begumpura, a state-of-the-art auditorium, and extensive facilities for pilgrims.

“The entire state Cabinet will join the sangat to pay homage to Sri Guru Ravidass ji in this state-level function being organised at Khuralgarh,” he said.

Looking ahead, the Chief Minister noted that these celebrations also serve as a precursor to the historic 650th Parkash Purb in 2027. He mentioned that the government has initiated year-long programs to take the Guru’s teachings to every village in Punjab, ensuring the younger generation is well-versed in the message of human dignity and brotherhood.
