Patiala, Feb 11: A major AYUSH medical camp was organized at Dharamshala Challela on Wednesday, providing free healthcare services and medicines to hundreds of local residents. Held under the guidance of Director Ayurveda Punjab, Dr. Raman Khanna, and DAUO Patiala, Dr. Mohan Kaushal, the initiative aimed to bring traditional and alternative medicine directly to the doorsteps of the rural population.
The camp saw a significant turnout, with medical teams treating a total of 589 patients throughout the day. Ayurvedic specialists Dr. Savita Kaundal from GAD Challela and Dr. Amanpreet Kaur from GAD Bishangarh conducted the OPD services. To ensure a holistic approach, Homeopathic Medical Officers Dr. Rajneet and Dr. Davinder Kaur also examined a large number of visitors seeking alternative treatments.
“Free medicines were distributed to all patients,” an official mentioned regarding the camp’s logistics. He noted that the smooth execution of the event was supported by Upvaid Prabhpreet Singh and Sapanjeet Kaur, who handled the dispensing of prescriptions, while the staff of GAD Challela managed the on-ground duties.
