MOGA, Feb 16 — Six Punjab Police officials sustained injuries on Monday following a road accident near Killi Chahal, located in close proximity to the state government’s “War Against Drugs 2.0” rally site. The incident involved a collision between a long-distance passenger bus and a police vehicle.
Authorities stated that the bus was traveling on the Jaipur-Ludhiana route when it struck the police transport. Following the impact, the six injured personnel were immediately transported to a private medical facility in Moga to receive treatment for their injuries.
The accident occurred as the area saw increased activity due to the “Yudh Nasha Viruddh 2.0” event organized by the Punjab government. Police officials maintained that the collision happened in the immediate vicinity of the rally grounds, where security and logistical teams were stationed.
Local law enforcement affirmed that an investigation into the circumstances of the crash is currently underway. Medical staff at the hospital noted that the officials are undergoing evaluation, though the specific extent of their injuries has not yet been detailed.
