SAS Nagar, March 16: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann concluded the three-day Progressive Punjab Investors’ Summit in SAS Nagar (Mohali) on Sunday with a strong call to action for global and national entrepreneurs. Addressing the final session, the Chief Minister declared that the state has successfully established a conducive environment for industrial expansion and offered his administration’s full support to those looking to invest.
The Chief Minister asserted that the summit, which featured 30 specialized brainstorming sessions, marks a turning point for the state’s economy. He maintained that the government’s primary focus is to accelerate growth while creating substantial employment opportunities for the youth. In a move to ensure accountability, he announced that a review session would be held in six months to monitor the progress of all investment proposals and projects finalized during the event.
“Punjab’s progress is our resolve,” the Chief Minister stated. He affirmed that his administration has worked tirelessly to fix historical shortcomings, including inherited debt and governance issues, to put the state back on a path of development. He declared that the era of “forceful” memorandums of understanding has ended, replaced by a system based on mutual trust and transparent industrialization.
The Chief Minister also noted the importance of the human element in progress, asserting that while Artificial Intelligence is a rising field, human resource development remains the priority. He declared that the people of Punjab are natural leaders whose resilience and entrepreneurial spirit make the state a premier destination for manufacturing and technology.
Minister Sanjeev Arora, Harbhajan Singh ETO, and Chief Secretary KAP Sinha also participated in the event, which showcased Punjab’s potential in sectors such as pharmaceuticals and information technology. The Chief Minister maintained that the active cooperation of the industry would be instrumental in making Punjab a global industrial and export hub.
