Chandigarh, March 26: Cabinet ministers and lawmakers across Punjab transitioned from offices to the field on Wednesday, visiting more than 1,000 villages and urban wards to commemorate the fourth anniversary of the Bhagwant Singh Mann administration. The statewide campaign, titled “Shandaar 4 Saal, Bhagwant Mann de Naal,” sought to present the government’s performance record directly to the electorate through localized engagements.
During an interaction in Sham Chaurasi, Cabinet Minister Dr. Ravjot Singh stated that the transformation of the education sector has gained national recognition. He affirmed that Punjab’s government schools now hold the top rank in Union government surveys. The minister noted that the recruitment of 28,000 teachers and specialized training programs in Finland and Singapore have enabled students to succeed in competitive exams like JEE and NEET.
In Ludhiana West, Power Minister Sanjeev Arora maintained that the administration has achieved a significant milestone by providing zero-cost electricity to 90 percent of households. He declared that the fear of high utility bills has been replaced by a reliable, 24-hour power supply.

Addressing the public in Bhoa, Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak asserted that the government has conducted a decisive campaign against narcotics. He mentioned that more than 92,000 smugglers have been incarcerated during this period. Furthermore, he noted that 65,000 government positions were filled based on merit without the influence of bribery.
Health reforms were a primary focus in Jandiala, where Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO stated that 985 Aam Aadmi Clinics have provided free medical treatment to 5 crore individuals. He added that families are now eligible for up to ₹10 lakh in free cashless healthcare, reducing the financial burden on the underprivileged.
Agricultural and social welfare updates were also provided during the drive. In Jalandhar West, Minister Mohinder Bhagat affirmed that canal water has reached the tail-end of fields for the first time in decades. Meanwhile, in Lehra, Minister Barinder Kumar Goyal noted that the Road Safety Force has contributed to a 50 percent reduction in traffic fatalities. He also mentioned that the ex gratia for families of fallen soldiers has been set at ₹1 crore.
