Sarabha Nagar, March 26: Cabinet Minister Sanjeev Arora declared on Thursday that Punjab is rapidly transforming into a “Vibrant Punjab” following four years of historic progress under the administration of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann.
Speaking during a public engagement in Sarabha Nagar, the minister maintained that the state has achieved developmental milestones that remained unaddressed for the preceding seven decades.
Arora stated that the Union government has officially recognized Punjab as the leading state in education, road safety, and ease of doing business.
“This riple recognition in key sectors is a first in the state’s history and has sparked a national conversation regarding Punjab’s advancement,” he said.
The minister asserted that the extraordinary efforts of the Chief Minister are steadily positioning the state as the premier territory in the country.
The power sector was cited as a primary example of this shift, with Arora affirming that every household has benefited from 300 units of free monthly electricity for four years.

He further maintained that the state’s power utility, PSPCL, has transitioned into a more efficient entity characterized by increased profitability and reduced losses.
Social security and infrastructure also featured prominently in the report. Arora stated that Punjab has become the first state to implement a comprehensive cashless health insurance program providing up to ₹10 lakh in coverage for every citizen.
He affirmed that financial assistance for women, ranging from ₹1,000 to ₹1,500 monthly, will commence shortly under the Chief Minister’s latest directives. Additionally, he declared that the state is on track to possess the nation’s finest road infrastructure, with a new focus on ensuring litter-free highways.
