CHANDIGARH, April 16 — Academic activities were disrupted Thursday morning after several educational institutions, including Saupin’s School in Sector 32, received threatening emails. The messages prompted an immediate response from local security agencies, who dispatched bomb detection squads to conduct thorough sweeps of the affected campuses.

Safety officials declared the premises secure after intensive searches yielded no suspicious items or explosive devices. Preliminary investigations into the correspondence revealed that the emails were drafted with provocative language designed to incite public alarm.

This development follows a similar wave of threats reported on April 7, when schools such as St. Stephen’s, Shivalik Public, and Ryan International were targeted. Those previous messages, sent from a masked Gmail address, also included hollow threats against Chandigarh University and various government buildings, including the Secretariat.

Law enforcement authorities maintained that while the latest messages appear to be part of a recurring pattern of hoaxes, they are taking all necessary precautions. A senior security official stated that teams are working to trace the digital footprint of the sender to prevent further disruptions.
