CHANDIGARH, APRIL 17 — The Aam Aadmi Party has intensified its attack on the Shiromani Akali Dal following the apprehension of a Moga Municipal Councillor for allegedly operating a sex racket. Baltej Pannu, the AAP Punjab State Media In-charge, affirmed Thursday that the arrest of Jagjit Singh Jeeta reveals a deep-seated hypocrisy within the Akali Dal’s ongoing political outreach programs.

The law enforcement action took place at a hotel property belonging to Jeeta, resulting in the rescue of several females, including a minor. Pannu noted that the councillor’s documented presence alongside top Akali figures during the “Punjab Bachao Yatra” contradicts the party’s public messaging. He maintained that the continued silence from the SAD high command regarding the incident reflects a refusal to take responsibility for the actions of their party members.

“Those whose hands are stained with activities that push innocent girls into darkness have no right to talk about saving Punjab,” Pannu stated during a video address. He declared that this latest scandal is consistent with a history of involvement in various illegal enterprises, asserting that the party has consistently prioritized self-interest over the welfare of the state.

The media in-charge reiterated that the Bhagwant Mann administration is dedicated to ensuring that justice is served without bias. He stated that the government will continue to target criminal activities regardless of the perpetrator’s political standing. Pannu concluded by urging the citizens of Punjab to reject political forces that harbor individuals involved in immoral and illegal trades.
