Bathinda, June 27: The Bathinda police force has arrested the prime suspect behind the recent petrol bomb attack on a local homeopathic clinic that occurred on the night of June 22. The individual allegedly orchestrated the incident for financial gain under the direction of an overseas handler. This breakthrough follows the previous apprehension of his two accomplices involved in the assault.
The state security apparatus has prioritized dismantling the network behind this targeted violence to maintain public safety. Investigators revealed that the student was lured into the conspiracy by a handler based abroad who utilized international communication channels. A preliminary financial transaction of Rs 5,000 was reportedly delivered to the suspect prior to the execution of the strike.
The main suspect has been identified by law enforcement as Sandeep Singh, alias Billa, a resident of Khuian Sarwar in the Fazilka district and a final-year undergraduate student. Authorities have successfully obtained legal remand from the judiciary to deepen their interrogation. The administration seeks to uncover the broader conspiratorial network and any associated cross-border links.
Senior officials noted that the continuous interrogation is expected to yield more critical insights into the operation. The department is dedicating full resources to ensure a comprehensive investigation into the foreign linkages.
“A thorough investigation into the case is underway and many more important revelations are likely to be made during the interrogation,” stated SP Heena Gupta during a press interaction.
