Chandigarh, July 9: The Anti-Terrorist Front India has approached the central government requesting a formal review of the upcoming film ‘Sutlej’ to ensure it aligns with the maintenance of peace and public order in Punjab. The organization reached out to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, seeking an administrative assessment to prevent any potential disruption to the social fabric and long-standing stability of the state.
“This film is an attempt to revive an older era of instability in the state and could misguide the local youth,” Anti-Terrorist Front India National President Viresh Shandilya declared during a briefing with journalists. He affirmed that federal intervention is essential to uphold the collective unity and integrity of the nation.
The body further proposed that the matter be looked into by the National Investigation Agency to thoroughly evaluate the background of the project. Senior leadership within the front maintained that they are fully prepared to approach the High Court or the Supreme Court if legal scrutiny becomes necessary, noting their historic commitment to supporting judicial channels for regional safety.
“Our organization remains dedicated to sustaining order in Punjab and ensuring that public sentiment is protected,” Shandilya asserted while addressing concerns regarding global distributions. He stated that the central government should also consider coordinating with international monitoring agencies if the film is cleared for screenings abroad.
