JALANDHAR, July 20: Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann asserted that Punjab’s rich social fabric and deep-rooted harmony ensure divisive ideas can never take hold in the state. Speaking after paying obeisance at the Darbar of Dera Almast Bapu Lal Badshah Ji in Nakodar, the Chief Minister declared that the soil of Punjab remains fertile for all positive endeavors, though seeds of hatred will fail to germinate. He noted that the citizens celebrate all cultural and religious occasions together, reflecting an unshakable social bond.
During the gathering at the annual fair, the Chief Minister stated that the affection shown by the public remains his chief source of strength as his administration works toward a prosperous state. He affirmed that his public earnings represent complete transparency, maintaining that the faith entrusted to him by the people was earned through dedicated effort. Bhagwant Singh Mann declared that the state government aims to build a flourishing, happy Punjab rooted in its own culture rather than attempting to replicate foreign cities like London or California.
Outlining ongoing administrative initiatives, the Chief Minister detailed the progress of the Mawan Dhiyan Satkar Yojna, which delivers direct monthly financial support to women across the state. Under this scheme, eligible women receive monthly assistance directly in their bank accounts, with 97 percent of women across Punjab benefiting from the allocated budget. He also noted the expansion of the Mukh Mantri Tirath Yatra Yojana, which facilitates smooth travel for pilgrims visiting key spiritual places across the country.
The Chief Minister expressed gratitude to the organizing committee and prayed for the continued peace, progress, and harmony of the state. Senior leadership, including AAP leader Manish Sisodia, former MP Hans Raj Hans, and local representatives, attended the cultural event alongside thousands of devotees.
