Legal representatives raised the recorded incident directly before judicial authorities during proceedings regarding security management in the capital.
Senior advocate Gopal Sankaranarayanan cited the specific footage in court, identifying the officer by his official badge and noting that the individual appeared to be offering no active resistance when the incident occurred.
Departmental sources confirmed that top administration reviewed the video evidence before issuing instructions for the officer’s immediate reassignment.
Police representatives stated that while security personnel faced stone-pelting and barricade breaches during the agitation—resulting in minor injuries to officers on duty—administrative reviews regarding individual field conduct remain ongoing.
