MOGA, July 26 — State governance focused on transparency, rural infrastructure, and public health has laid a strong foundation for Punjab’s future, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann declared during a public interaction at village Charik in Moga.
Speaking at the Lok Milni event, the Chief Minister affirmed that the state administration has fulfilled its key commitments, ensuring that basic services reach every household efficiently.
“Every decision taken by the Punjab Government is aimed at ensuring the progress of the state and the prosperity of its people. More than 68,000 government jobs have been provided to the youth completely on merit, without corruption or recommendation,” Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann stated.
Commenting on the state’s expanding healthcare and rural support, the Chief Minister noted the inauguration of 100 new Aam Aadmi Clinics, bringing the total operational count across Punjab to 1,090, alongside a ₹51 lakh development grant for Charik village.
He maintained that structural shifts in power supply and agricultural water management have provided major relief to the farming community.
“For the first time in the history of Punjab, more than eight hours of uninterrupted power supply has been provided to farm tube wells during the paddy season, that too in the daytime. The state is now utilising less groundwater and more canal water, with canal water coverage reaching 88 percent of agricultural fields,” Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann asserted.
He noted that the government released 21,000 cusecs of water through newly constructed networks, equivalent to the supply of two Bhakra canals, aiding in raising the state’s groundwater table by two to four metres.
On public health and social security, the Chief Minister stated that Punjab has led the way by offering universal cashless healthcare up to ₹10 lakh per family under the Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna, alongside monthly financial support for women under the Mawan Dheeyan Satkar Yojna.
“My predecessors remained inaccessible to the common people and stepped out of their homes only after checking the temperature, whereas I am available to the people round the clock. Every file signed by me is aimed at benefiting the common man,” Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann declared.
Concluding his address, the Chief Minister affirmed that the state exchequer is being managed with complete integrity, redirecting resources into roads, healthcare, education, and long-term development for Rangla Punjab.
