MOGA, July 26 — Advanced medical services in the Malwa belt received a major expansion as Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann dedicated the 120-bed Capital Hospital in Moga to the public.
The multi-speciality center stands as Moga district’s first NABH-accredited hospital, featuring a 24×7 emergency unit, high-end diagnostic laboratories, and comprehensive specialized departments.
“Our government is committed to ensuring that every Punjabi has access to affordable, modern, and high-quality healthcare. Facilities like this modern hospital, combined with our universal health insurance schemes, ensure that critical care is within reach for the common man,” Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann declared.
The Chief Minister asserted that the state’s healthcare network is growing steadily, supported by 1,090 operational Aam Aadmi Clinics following the recent rollout of 100 new centers.
“Punjab has launched the country’s first universal healthcare scheme, Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna, which provides cashless medical treatment of up to ₹10 lakh annually to every resident family in the state. Punjab is the first state in India to offer such comprehensive coverage,” Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann affirmed.
He further maintained that the state continues to make strides in specialized treatments, referencing the establishment of a dedicated liver transplant centre in Mohali, making Punjab the second state after Delhi to offer the advanced facility.
Connecting healthcare progress to overall governance, the Chief Minister stated that dedicated efforts have transformed public education across the state. Through initiatives like the Schools of Eminence, Punjab has emerged as the leading state in school education performance.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann concluded by reasserting that the state administration remains focused on human welfare, building robust infrastructure in health, education, and public safety for all residents.
