New Delhi, August 8: Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared that the choices made by the nation’s youth over the next three to four decades will directly determine India’s journey toward becoming a developed nation.
Speaking at the 57th convocation ceremony of IIT Delhi on Saturday, the Prime Minister extended a direct outreach to graduating students, stating that every generation inherits distinct challenges alongside shared national duties.
“We have faith in you, and the country needs your contribution,” Prime Minister Modi asserted during his address. He urged the passing-out cohort to align individual career ambitions with broader national development objectives across emerging sectors.
Highlighting rapid global technological shifts, he pointed out how evolving industries are reshaping international equations. He cited recent milestones in private space operations—such as Skyroot Aerospace’s Vikram-1 launch—and expanding drone application in security and healthcare as prime examples of new avenues created for young innovators.
The convocation address marks a major public outreach following recent youth-led student demonstrations in the capital regarding educational examinations, placing renewed emphasis on youth-driven technological growth and nation-building.
