Gorakhpur, August 11: Eastern Uttar Pradesh has emerged as a major engine of economic growth powered by its young demographic and expanding industrial infrastructure over the past nine years, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said.
Delivering the address at the ‘Badalta Purvi Uttar Pradesh’ conclave hosted by News18 India in Gorakhpur, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath affirmed that the state’s economy has tripled in size, leading to a more than three-fold surge in per capita income across the eastern districts.
The Chief Minister declared that previous administrations failed to utilize the hard work and talent of the state’s youth by refusing to build suitable developmental platforms, maintaining that targeted administrative interventions and massive industrial investments, including fifty thousand new jobs generated in Gorakhpur alone, have set the state on a firm path toward achieving a one trillion-dollar economy within three years.
Outlining major educational, healthcare, and security milestones, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated that comprehensive law enforcement actions dismantled organized crime networks while public health programs permanently eradicated endemic diseases such as encephalitis.
He maintained that school dropout rates plummeted from nineteen percent to three percent following state-wide infrastructure upgrades under Operation Kayakalp across 1.36 lakh basic education schools.
Highlighting structural progress, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath declared that five new universities, a network of medical colleges in almost every district, and operational AIIMS facilities now provide super-specialty care and academic access.
He affirmed that modern expressway networks, revived industrial factories, expanded air connectivity, and booming spiritual tourism in Varanasi and Ayodhya have completely halted youth migration, compelling major national industrialists to invest directly inside Uttar Pradesh.
