Ludhiana, August 14: Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann laid the foundation stone of a compressed bio-gas plant valued at sixty-five crore rupees at Haibowal in Ludhiana. The facility is designed to process three hundred tonnes of cattle dung generated daily at the local dairy complex, addressing long-standing waste management challenges and preventing sewer blockages.
The project forms part of broader administrative measures aimed at reducing environmental pollution and restoring the water quality of Budha Nallah. Officials maintained that converting organic waste into bio-gas provides a sustainable solution while improving overall municipal sanitation.
