GURUGRAM, September 2: Private healthcare facilities across Haryana have announced a temporary pause on services under the Ayushman Bharat scheme to highlight ongoing delays in administrative claim clearances. The Indian Medical Association (Haryana branch) stated that member hospitals are managing substantial outstanding balances, with several reimbursement files dating back to early 2026.
Dr. Ajay Mahajan, chairperson of the Hospital Board of India (IMA Haryana), affirmed that total estimated claims awaiting processing stand at approximately ₹1,000 crore. Association representatives maintained that detailed hospital filings remain available within state authority registers, and formal communications have been submitted to request a streamlined settlement process. The organization declared a one-day operational pause for September 1 to draw attention to institutional sustainability concerns.
Healthcare administrators maintained that timely reimbursement cycles are vital for maintaining medical supplies and facility operations. The association stated that medical providers remain open to constructive engagement with state health authorities to establish permanent resolution mechanisms before September 15.
