CHANDIGARH, September 2: Punjab Good Governance and Information Technology Minister Aman Arora launched the state’s unified digital platform, bringing more than 300 government services across 12 departments under a single mobile-friendly portal. The platform, accessible at digi.punjab.gov.in, is scheduled to expand coverage to over 800 public services within the next two months.
Addressing the launch event, Minister Aman Arora affirmed that the new digital architecture fixes strict timelines for application processing at every administrative level. The system covers essential services, including birth and death certificates, arms license renewals, marriage registrations, revenue documentation, and pension applications. The Minister maintained that binding officers to clear deadlines eliminates unnecessary file clutter and strengthens administrative transparency across state offices.
The administration declared that existing Sewa Kendras and the 1076 doorstep delivery initiative will continue operating alongside the portal to support citizens requiring assistance. Minister Aman Arora asserted that mobile tracking and real-time updates via SMS and messaging services will ensure seamless access for residents across all rural and urban districts.
