Patiala, September 5: Newly appointed Senior Superintendent of Police Harmandeep Singh Hans convened his inaugural meeting with senior officers, station house heads, and branch in-charges to conduct a comprehensive assessment of law and order across Patiala district. Official updates indicate that the leadership review focused on expediting pending investigations, streamlining traffic management systems, and strengthening field monitoring to ensure swift action against repeat offenders and anti-social elements.

A central focus of the operational directives remains the statewide ‘Yudh Nashian Virudh’ campaign. Hans instructed police personnel to intensify enforcement against illicit drug networks, dismantle supply chains, and initiate strict legal proceedings against individuals involved in trafficking. Concurrently, the district command outlined measures targeting organized crime, including coordinated surveillance on extortion networks, illegal firearm sales, and criminal intimidation.

The administration affirmed that maintaining responsive and accessible policing remains a primary operational standard. Officers were instructed to ensure time-bound grievance resolution for citizens and maintain professional conduct when assisting complainants. Law enforcement priorities in the district continue to align with directives issued by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav.
