Chandigarh, Oct 10: The Haryana Cabinet has approved a major policy exemption waiving all competitive examinations for ex-Agniveers applying to direct recruitment Group-C posts across the state. Under the newly approved framework chaired by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, ex-Agniveers will be eligible for direct appointments to advertised vacancies, subject to applicable state reservation guidelines and statutory recruitment regulations.

In addition to academic examination waivers, the state cabinet granted exemptions from physical screening tests (PST) and physical measurement tests (PMT) for specific roles recently integrated into the state’s Agniveer policy. These exemptions will apply to candidates applying for positions such as wildlife guard in the Environment, Forest and Wildlife Department, constable in the Indian Reserve Battalion (IRB) and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), and fire operator-cum-driver in the Revenue and Disaster Management Department.
