GURUGRAM, OCT 19: Gurugram Traffic Police impounded a motorcycle carrying 17 pending challans amounting to Rs 1.79 lakh during a routine checking drive near the Maruti Kunj T-point.

A senior traffic police official stated that continuous measures are being taken to address traffic violations and manage vehicles with un-cleared fines across the city.

The action was initiated when Zonal Officer ASI Ramprakash and his team intercepted the two-wheeler for inspection, after which the rider was unable to present valid vehicle documents.

Verification revealed multiple non-compliance issues under the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, including riding without a helmet and lacking a Pollution Under Control certificate. Officials maintained that the vehicle was subsequently impounded under applicable statutory provisions, while advising motorists to keep valid documentation and clear pending fines promptly.
