Mumbai, 27 November 2024 – A young Air India pilot was discovered dead in her Andheri apartment, prompting authorities to launch a probe into the circumstances surrounding her death. The Powai police confirmed the arrest of her boyfriend on charges of abetment to suicide.
The deceased, identified as 25-year-old Srishti Tuli, was found in her flat on Monday. Following her death, Aditya Pandit, 27, believed to be her boyfriend, was taken into custody after her uncle filed a complaint alleging Pandit’s behavior drove her to take her own life.
According to the complaint, Pandit frequently misbehaved with and argued with Tuli, causing significant distress. “She confided in me about their frequent arguments. It was troubling her deeply,” her uncle reportedly told the police.
Pandit has been remanded in police custody until November 29 as investigators delve into the case. Authorities have stated that a detailed inquiry is ongoing to ascertain the exact chain of events leading to the tragedy.
