Lucknow, 8 December 2024: Panic gripped the Uttar Pradesh capital after bomb threats were reported at three major locations—Hussainganj Metro Station, Charbagh Railway Station, and Alambagh Bus Station.

The Lucknow Police and Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) rushed to the scenes, evacuating the areas and conducting thorough investigations.

The alarm was raised through a call to the emergency helpline number 112, claiming bombs had been planted at these critical transit hubs. Police, along with the BDS and dog squads, conducted a comprehensive sweep of all three locations.

At Alambagh Bus Station, an extensive search revealed no suspicious objects. Similarly, at Hussainganj Metro Station, the premises were evacuated and inspected, but no explosives were found. Both threats were deemed false.

Authorities are now probing the source of the hoax call, which caused significant disruption. Investigations at Charbagh Railway Station are ongoing.
