Moga, 12 December 2024: A bike rider was critically injured this morning after being hit by a speeding ambulance near the government hospital in Moga. The victim, 37-year-old Charanpreet Singh of Budh Singh Wala village, was carrying milk when the collision occurred.

Eyewitnesses claimed the ambulance, en route from Chandik to Moga without a patient, was traveling at high speed when it struck Charanpreet. Villagers stated that the impact left him with severe injuries.

Ambulance driver Lovepreet Singh refuted the claims, stating that the collision occurred as the biker’s milk drum extended outward, causing the accident. He maintained that he was driving at a normal speed and avoided a more severe mishap by preventing the drum from falling into adjacent fields.

Dr. Kamalpreet from the government hospital confirmed Charanpreet was brought in with a deep head injury and was immediately referred to a private hospital for advanced treatment. His condition remains critical.
