Yellow Alert Issued for Dense Fog in Haryana

Chandigarh, 22 December 2024: A yellow alert for dense fog has been issued in 15 districts of Haryana as the cold wave intensifies. The Meteorological Department has predicted light rain in southwestern areas on December 23, which is expected to bring a sharper drop in temperatures across the state.

On Saturday, Sirsa recorded the highest temperature at 23.8 degrees Celsius, while Hisar saw the lowest at 2.5 degrees Celsius.

The state is likely to experience severe cold after the rain, with dry conditions forecast from December 24 to 26.

Meanwhile, air quality remains a concern as pollution levels continue to rise amid the cold. This morning, Rohtak recorded an AQI of 387, followed by Faridabad at 372, Charkhi Dadri at 350, and Gurugram at 323, indicating poor to severe air quality across several regions.
