JALANDHAR, 15 January 2025 – An early morning encounter near Wadala Chowk in Jalandhar led to the arrest of two individuals allegedly associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, police said.
One of the suspects sustained a gunshot wound to the leg and is receiving treatment at the Civil Hospital.
The CIA staff, acting on a tip-off, intercepted the duo who were traveling in an I-20 car from Moga toward Jalandhar.
Police chased the suspects for approximately four kilometers before confronting them near Wadala Chowk.
During the operation, authorities seized four illegal weapons, multiple live cartridges, and the suspects’ vehicle.
