CHANDIGARH, Sept 24: — Aam Aadmi Party leaders and volunteers staged a protest outside the Greater Mohali Area Development Authority office on Thursday, raising slogans against the central government and surrounding Enforcement Directorate teams conducting operations at the site.
The demonstration was led by AAP Punjab Working President and MLA Amansher Singh Shery Kalsi alongside numerous party workers. Kalsi affirmed that the sudden surge in central agency activities coincides directly with the upcoming state election cycle, maintaining that such actions represent a strategic attempt to apply political pressure and divert the ruling party’s focus away from campaigning. He declared that the party’s cadre and the public in Punjab will not accept administrative intimidation, pointing out that extended agency searches across multiple sites have consistently failed to produce any evidence against state representatives.
Party leaders present at the demonstration stated that the attempt to halt routine work at administrative offices reflects political anxiety ahead of the state assembly polls. They maintained that the party will continue its campaign on the strength of its governance record while resisting external pressures through democratic means.
