CHANDIGARH — Punjab Cabinet Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian addressed media representatives in Chandigarh on Thursday, dismissing rumors regarding his whereabouts and strongly criticizing recent Enforcement Directorate operations at his nephew’s residence in Ludhiana.
Mundian maintained that claims suggesting he had left the country were entirely baseless, clarifying his presence in Chandigarh to present the facts directly to the public. Addressing the search operation conducted at his relative’s home, the Minister asserted that family members, including women and children, faced undue distress during the four-hour procedure despite officials finding no incriminating material beyond routine household items. He stated that agency officials attempted to exert indirect political pressure on his family, emphasizing that such tactics would not alter his commitment to the Aam Aadmi Party or its foundational principles.
The Minister declared that the people of Punjab remain resilient against coercive measures, asserting that the state administration under Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann will continue to focus on honest governance and transparent public service.
