Ludhaina, Sept 28: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab Media In-charge Baltej Pannu on Sunday invited citizens across the state to attend ‘Jashan-e-Inquilab’, a grand event organised at the Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) ground in Ludhiana on September 28 to celebrate the birth anniversary of Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh.
Addressing a press conference, Baltej Pannu stated that the programme, beginning at 3 PM, will feature Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, cabinet ministers, MLAs, and prominent artists. Celebrated play Gagan Damama Bajio will be staged alongside performances by renowned Punjabi singers Ranjit Bawa, Kulwinder Billa, and prominent dhadi jathas. He urged families to attend together and appealed to turbaned attendees to wear yellow turbans to honor the revolutionary spirit of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Shaheed Sukhdev, and Shaheed Rajguru.
Baltej Pannu maintained that the event reflects the broader cultural and developmental transformation under the Bhagwant Singh Mann administration. He asserted that the government has successfully redirected the state’s youth toward sports, culture, and healthy living through initiatives like Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan, the construction of 3,100 rural sports grounds, and hosting upcoming international hockey matches in Jalandhar and Mohali.
Highlighting major governance milestones, Baltej Pannu affirmed that canal water utilization in Punjab has surged from 22 percent to over 88 percent, conserving critical groundwater reserves. He added that public welfare schemes, including 600 units of free bi-monthly electricity, cashless medical coverage up to ₹10 lakh under the Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna, and the prompt emergency response of the Sadak Surakhya Force, have provided substantial relief to ordinary families across Punjab.
