CHANDIGARH, OCT 12: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLAs Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal, Prof Baljinder Kaur, and Manvinder Singh Giaspura strongly condemned the Delhi Police’s actions during recent protests, demanding the immediate resignation of Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
During a joint press conference in Chandigarh, the legislators slammed the central government for allowing police personnel to enter Gurdwara Sri Bangla Sahib wearing shoes and with uncovered heads while detaining individuals.
Asserting that the incident revived painful memories of 1984, the leaders drew parallels to past violations of Sikh shrines and challenged the BJP’s political narrative. They also called upon the Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib to take strict cognizance of the breach of religious decorum.
