New Delhi, Oct 12: Police authorities stopped a major demonstration led by Opposition leaders on Bhagwan Das Road in New Delhi, approximately 600 meters from the Supreme Court premises.
The march, organized by the INDIA bloc and led by Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi alongside senior leaders, aimed to raise concerns over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
Security personnel deployed heavy barricading along the route leading to the top court to prevent the crowd from advancing further.
Despite the march being halted, opposition representatives maintained order at the barricades while legal representatives proceeded forward to manage judicial filings.
