Chandigarh, Feb 27: The Punjab unit of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) gathered at the party headquarters in Chandigarh on Friday to celebrate the court’s decision to acquit Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, and other leaders. The verdict, which pertains to the liquor policy case, was greeted with festive fervour by both cabinet ministers and grassroots volunteers.

Senior leaders, including Harpal Singh Cheema, Aman Arora, Hardeep Singh Mundian, and Harjot Singh Bains, participated in the event alongside hundreds of supporters. The celebrations featured traditional bhangra performances to the beat of drums and the distribution of sweets. Party representatives stated that the legal outcome serves as a formal vindication of their leadership and a triumph for what they described as honest politics.

During the gathering, Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema affirmed that the decision has restored public confidence in the judicial process. He asserted that the allegations were driven by political motives and that the acquittal clears the path for the party to focus entirely on its governance agenda. The minister maintained that the party’s dedication to improving healthcare and education remains unchanged following this legal development.

Workers at the scene declared the judgment a significant moment for democratic values. They noted that the atmosphere at the Chandigarh office reflected a renewed sense of energy within the rank and file. Leadership echoed these sentiments, stating that the court’s findings have effectively countered the narratives previously directed at the party’s top brass.
