Chandigarh, June 20: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) organized extensive demonstrations across Punjab to protest against a coordinated misinformation campaign targeting Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann through a fabricated video clip. AAP Cabinet Ministers, legislators, and regional workers gathered in multiple districts, including Faridkot, Barnala, Mansa, and Mohali, to register their opposition to what they termed deceptive political strategies. Party representatives maintained that traditional political entities are employing manipulative online content because they have been unable to challenge the state’s ongoing development initiatives.
The statewide demonstrations focused on maintaining regional stability and preventing the misuse of digital content to manipulate public sentiment. Administrative officials and party coordinators stated that the public remains supportive of transparent governance models and will not be influenced by unverified media. Senior leaders declared that the opposition’s actions stem from a lack of constructive developmental agendas to present to the citizenry.
“Today, Aam Aadmi Party karyakartas have come out on the streets not only in Mohali but across Punjab to register their protest against such forces,” Cabinet Minister Harpal Singh Cheema stated during a gathering. He declared that the regional population is highly discerning and understands the intent behind these online campaigns. “The people of Punjab are fully aware of these conspiracies and will never allow those who have repeatedly harmed the interests of the state to succeed,” the Minister asserted.
The Minister connected the public demonstrations to a collective defense of the state’s governance achievements, noting that the administration has smoothly integrated 44,000 young professionals into government departments. He further mentioned that structural projects, including the repair of 45,000 kilometers of roads and the establishment of local sports grounds, are continuing at an optimal pace. The ruling party affirmed that it will continue to resist any efforts aimed at disrupting social harmony or distracting from the core welfare objectives of the administration.
