Chandigarh, Oct 6: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab Media In-charge Baltej Pannu launched a sharp attack against Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Virsa Singh Valtoha on Monday, refusing to lower the political discourse to “derogatory language” while demanding answers over the controversy involving a Bahrain-based woman. Pannu maintained that his upbringing guided him to retain dignity in speech despite provocation, but warned he possessed full documentation to counter every allegation made against him.

Addressing a press conference in Chandigarh, Pannu questioned why the woman was brought to Punjab and allegedly accommodated in an SGPC sarai for months with dedicated transport, sevadars, and financial transfers if Akali leaders were aware of her background. He challenged Valtoha to submit an allegedly leaked audio clip for legal forensic verification rather than dismissing it as artificial intelligence.

Pannu further warned that if abusive language against women and political opponents continued, he would publicly disclose details regarding the individuals who orchestrated a false case against him under the previous SAD-BJP rule, a charge from which he was honorably acquitted.

“A woman having faced a case does not give anyone the right to assassinate her character. If you knew everything about her, the question is why you brought her here, and why she was kept in an SGPC sarai for so long,” asserted Baltej Pannu.

Turning his focus to senior political and religious figures, Pannu criticized the continued silence of top Akali and SGPC functionaries regarding official records and decisions tied to the case.

“Sukhbir Singh Badal, as the chief custodian of the Akali Dal, and SGPC President Harjinder Singh Dhami must answer these questions directly instead of letting others repeatedly speak on their behalf,” stated Pannu.
