New Delhi, 3 February 2025:: Aaradhya Bachchan, daughter of actors Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, has filed a fresh petition in the Delhi High Court seeking the removal of false and misleading information about her health from multiple websites.
This latest petition follows a previous order by the court directing Google, entertainment platform Bollywood Times, and other websites to take down specific content flagged by Aaradhya in an earlier plea.
During the hearing, the high court issued a notice to Google in response to the petition filed by the 13-year-old granddaughter of Amitabh Bachchan. The court had previously ruled on April 20, 2023, that YouTube must immediately remove fake videos claiming Aaradhya was seriously ill or, in some cases, even deceased.
The court had underscored that every individual, celebrity or not, has the right to dignity, particularly regarding their physical and mental health.
Aaradhya approached the court again after certain websites and social media platforms failed to comply with its earlier directive.
