Abhishek Sharma Addresses On-Field Clash with Rathi, Talks Powerplay Strategy

He said, ‘Atharva and I had a discussion that we will play cautiously in the initial overs and then adopt an aggressive approach. If you ask any international player, he will say that while chasing the target, you should make the powerplay work in your favour.’ This left-handed batsman, who hit six sixes and four fours in his innings, said, ‘I believe that if I perform well, the team will also perform well. As an international player, you have to take responsibility.’

In the match played on Monday, Lucknow, who lost the toss and came to bat first, scored 205 runs in 20 overs, losing seven wickets. In reply, Hyderabad scored 206 runs in 18.2 overs, losing four wickets and won the match. Abhishek Sharma scored the highest 59 runs for them. At the same time, Digvesh Rathi took two wickets for Lucknow while William O’Rourke and Shardul Thakur got one wicket each.
