ACS Anurag Verma Makes Surprise Visit to Ludhiana East Tehsil

Ludhiana, February 3 – Punjab Additional Chief Secretary cum Financial Commissioner Revenue (FCR) Anurag Verma conducted a surprise visit to the Ludhiana East Tehsil complex in Transport Nagar on Monday, assessing the efficiency of public service delivery.

During his inspection, Verma visited the sub-registrar’s office, reviewed ongoing land registry processes, and checked the functioning of CCTV cameras.

He reiterated the Bhagwant Singh Mann-led government’s commitment to delivering transparent and efficient services at the grassroots level.

He directed revenue officials to ensure that mobile numbers of buyers and sellers are included in registry documents and inquired about government fees collected by sub-registrar employees.

Besides, he instructed staff to maintain cleanliness in the office washrooms.

Engaging with visitors, Verma gathered feedback on their experiences at the registrar’s office and sought suggestions for improvements.

“This inspection is not about fault-finding but about streamlining operations in government offices,” he stated, urging officials to perform their duties with honesty and diligence to prevent public inconvenience.

As part of the visit, he personally handed over land registration documents to an applicant. Deputy Commissioner Jitendra Jorwal and other officials were also present.
