Pathankot, February 3 – Punjab Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav inaugurated a state-of-the-art Integrated Police Command & Control Center in Pathankot, introducing next-generation surveillance and real-time crime monitoring to enhance law enforcement and public safety.
The facility operates round-the-clock, enabling swift responses to incidents.
As part of the initiative, 344 high-definition CCTV cameras, including Auto Number Plate Reader (ANPR) cameras, have been installed across border areas, rural regions, and urban centres.
Officials confirmed plans to expand the network with 357 additional cameras soon.
Speaking at the inauguration, the DGP stated that the Punjab Police remains committed to leveraging technology for effective crime prevention and ensuring a safer environment for residents.
