AYODHYA: Air Marshal Jeetendra Mishra (retd), who commanded the Western Air Command during Operation Sindoor, was appointed the first Chief Executive Officer of the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. The decision was finalized during a high-level Trust meeting in Ayodhya following an extensive screening process to bring professional management and complete operational transparency to the temple complex.
The appointment follows financial mismanagement allegations and donation irregularities that led to multiple arrests and the resignation of Champat Rai as general secretary. A three-member search panel led by Justice Pramod Kohli (retd) evaluated 5,585 applications through AI-assisted screening, shortlisting three candidates before selecting Mishra. Trust officials affirmed that the decorated fighter pilot, who holds over 3,000 flying hours and was awarded the Sarvottam Yudh Seva Medal, will manage day-to-day administration, security coordination, and large-scale pilgrim logistics.
