Amritsar, July 12 — To improve public infrastructure and services, the district administration has launched a Google form for citizens to report road-related issues and civic grievances, as well as to offer suggestions for improvements. The initiative, spearheaded by Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sawhney, is designed to bring residents into the decision-making fold and build a more responsive governance framework.
“This is about involving the people directly in identifying and resolving issues in their neighbourhoods. We want to ensure every voice counts,” said Sawhney.
Residents can now report concerns ranging from damaged roads, water accumulation, malfunctioning streetlights to broken footpaths through the form. They can also propose specific upgrades or suggestions to improve infrastructure in their localities.
The Deputy Commissioner assured that submissions would be monitored daily by the administration and necessary actions taken promptly. “Timely resolution and transparency are the goals. We’re treating this as a collaborative effort,” she added.
