Gurdaspur, 7 October 2024: Six to seven assailants attacked a house in Hardorwal Kalan village under Block Dera Baba Nanak, firing shots at the occupants and vandalizing a tractor.
Upon receiving the report, ASI Balwinder Singh, in charge of the Malewal police station, arrived at the scene with a police team and recovered three spent cartridges and initiated an investigation.
Family members Davinder Singh and Rajbir, sons of Janga Singh, along with Bibi Hardeep Kaur, the wife of Davinder Singh, said that they were returning home from their fields when they had an altercation with some young men.
After returning home, the assailants followed them, began firing, and fortunately, no one was injured, they said.
They demanded that the authorities apprehend the suspects immediately.
ASI Balwinder Singh stated that the investigation is ongoing and appropriate action will be taken against those responsible.
