Chandigarh, Oct 23: MLA Manpreet Singh Ayali accused the central government of conspiring to block the official registration of the ‘Waris Punjab De’ party during a Punjab Assembly session. Ayali warned that if the Election Commission of India fails to expedite the process, supporters will launch a formal demonstration in Delhi to demand justice.

Addressing the assembly during a legislative debate, Ayali stated that the central government is attempting to snatch the political rights of the organization. Ayali declared in his address that the Election Commission is unnecessarily obstructing the registration process by citing national security concerns, despite the party having already fulfilled every necessary documentation requirement and legal condition.

The lawmaker further asserted that the administrative delay stems from political apprehension rather than legitimate security risks. Ayali argued that opposing political entities view the new party as a significant threat to their influence in the region. He concluded by demanding that the Election Commission of India finalize the registration without further delay.
